The Youth Directorate of the Prince Ned Nwoko Campaign Organization, otherwise called “Youth Erudite Support 4 Ned” (YES4NED), has assured their host of their preparedness to canvass for his election to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2019, the group used the ocassion to call on Delta north people for their support for one of Anioma’s best human export, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko in order to actualize the true Anioma dream in the Delta North Senatorial District of the state.
The group’s Abuja Liaison officer, Comr Tomi Akporoghene, who led members of the National Youths Service Corp of Anioma extraction serving in Abuja to the meeting with the star Prince, said they were in his house to assured him of their unfliching support and assistance in helping him to canvass for more for supports among the people of the district.
Speaking further on the purpose of the visit, Comr. Tomi stated that as the younger generation, it was necessary that Youth Corpers of from Delta state serving in Abuja, familiarized themselves with men who had written their names indelibly in the sands of time. He noted that the achievements of Hon. Nwoko in his days at the Federal House of Representatives saw to the increment in the take home of the average allowance of members of the NYSC and as such it had become necessary for him to lead Corpers to interact and tap from the wealth of knowledge the Frontline Senatorial Aspirant had.
He added that as a resident of Asaba, it is important that he leads registered voters to support those who would best represent the interests of not only the indigenes but the non indigenes residing in Anioma land.
Speaking also, Mr. Chinedu Dimeke, from Ika North East appreciated the receptivity of the host, adding that the meeting had given him the opportunity to hear firsthand, the intentions of Hon. Nwoko and with what he has heard being the dream of all well meaning Delta Northerners, he would further go about preaching the gospel of effective Representation as would be experienced with Hon. While calling on all to support the actualization of the true Anioma dream which would be actualized with Hon. Ned Nwoko, Mr. Tobechukwu Nwankwo, a corper from Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta state added, “I had hitherto stayed away from politics as I always thought it was a dirty game reserved solely for those with questionable characters, but from your passion and desire to achieve the Anioma dream, I am confident that you will bring about the necessary positive changes we need to see in our land. I would go about preaching what I have heard today to all. If we leave the bad guys alone to be in politics, the good guys like you would find it difficult to sanitize the system.”
In his response, Hon. Nwoko said he was excited to see young Deltans come out to pursue a cause for the betterment of the Anioma Nation, adding that his ambition when achieved would bring about tremendous progress and empowerments to the Anioma People.
“I’m happy you all have found time to visit me today to exchange ideas and chart a new course for our people. My ambition is a simple and direct one. It is to correct the wrong being experienced in the Anioma Nation.”
“It is scary and most unfortunate that a Legislator in charge of a committee would be a contractor awarding contracts to himself. Even being accused of it is worrisome. If you gather all the wealth to yourself and you are the only rich man in your land, then you are poor. I have never been a contractor, I have never handled a contract and it isn’t when I become a senator that I would start handling contracts. I have always been a fan of sport and tourism which I believe we can maximize to stimulate our economy. As for our present representation, we can’t continue with what we have now, we have to sanitize the system and restore the glory of Anioma Nation. The world has to get to know that we are not nefarious” he said.
High point of the event was lunch where the star Anioma Prince personally served his guests different African and continental cuisines.
