The Beauty of Africa International winner 2017/2018, and Nigeria’s delegate to Tourism in Malaysia award finals, Queen Blessing Enuawa, has described Prince Ned Nwoko as a very creative and visionary man.
The beauty pageant made the statement, Saturday 16th July, at Mount Ned Nwoko Tourist Resorts Centre during the ‘Walk For Tourism In Anioma’ road show powered by Ned Nwoko Foundation.
Speaking exclusively to reporters during the road show, Queen Blessing Enuawa who joined the exercise after conducting a tour around the Centre, said she was so amazed at the wonderful designs at the Centre and praised Prince Ned Nwoko for his foresight in building what she described as a marvelous Tourist centre in his community.
Her words, I am Miss Blessing Enuawa, winner of Beauty of Africa International Pageant 2017-2018 and delegate to Tourism in Malaysia Award Finals 2018. I am going to Malaysia for the tourism pageant which will hold in October 2018. And for you to do well in the contest, you have to visit important tourist sites in Nigeria.
I chose Mount Ned Nwoko Tourist Resorts Centre because of its specialty, it is related to culture, environment and history.
It is a very wonderful site.
Tourism in Nigeria is very unique and special, it takes to the root of the people, that is the culture.
Any significant place has to relate to culture.
What I saw in Mount Ned Nwoko Tourist Resorts Centre is wonderful, the main house has different designs which are from different places, there is African design, Asian design, the Moroccan design inbuilt in one house, that is very significant.
Around the compound, I also saw Sports facilities like the Golf Course, the Tennis Court, Table Tennis, and swimming pool, beautiful gardens abound the centre.
I went up to the Tower and viewed beautiful landscape far off, it was quite exciting. I also went to the underground tunnel leading to the kings chamber, the Pyramid, the fountain, the centre is quite wonderful.
I went to the zoo and saw different animals, rare tortoise, monkeys, crocodiles, Ostrich and different species of birds.
I also went to the Agricultural section and saw all kinds of crops, fish, snails.
I saw that work is in progress at the site of the Stars University, I think the school will be very wonderful.
Having seen what is on ground here, I decided to join in this ‘Walk For Tourism In Anioma road show,’ to create the awareness, to make the society know the importance of Tourism.
Most people think that it is only oil that generates revenue, we have to let them know that Tourism creates jobs and brings money for socioeconomic development.
Many countries derived their revenue through tourism. It has entertainment values.
Ned is very creative for putting up this wonderful site and for initiating the road show to create awareness, to show Nigerians that tourism generates revenue.” She concluded.
Queen Blessing Enuawa hails from Ubulu Uku in Aniocha South Local Government area, Delta State.
