PRINCE SOLOMON NWABUOKEI NWOKO EMERGES OBI OF IDUMUJE-UGBOKO.

A new King,HRM Solomon Eziokwubundu Nwabuokei Nwoko has been selected as Obi of Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North local government area of Delta state.

His emergence followed an unanimous endorsement yesterday at a meeting of Aniocha North traditional rulers committee held at Issele Uku, which sat to determine and resolve the lingering Idumuje-Ugboko kingship tussle.

The meeting was presided over by the Obi of Issele Azagba and chairman of Aniocha North traditional rulers committee HRM Francis Ijeh JP which is the statutory body empowered by law to make recommendations for the presentation of staff of office and coronation of a new King in the local government area by the state government.

The Aniocha North monarchs at the meeting upheld that Prince Solomon Nwabuokei Nwoko is the rightful and legitimate heir to the Idumuje-Ugboko throne ,after the demise of Obi of Idumuje-Ugboko HRM Albert Nwoko III in 2017.

This is contained in a memo of the meeting jointly signed by the Obi of Issele Azagba/ chairman of Aniocha North traditional rulers Committee HRM Obi Francis Ijeh JP. and secretary of the committee, Mr. Louis Nwaokolo.

A letter dated 28th January 2021,titled “Application for recognition/official presentation of staff of office to HRM Obi Solomon Eziokwubundu Nwabuokei Nwoko as Obi of Idumuje-Ugboko kingdom” signed by the head of personal management,Aniocha North local government Dr. Mrs Patricia Uche Dede has been sent to the state government conveying the submission of the traditional rulers committee.

Born on the 11th of November 1955 ,the Obi -designate attended Idumuje-Ugboko local authoritiy primary school and had his senior school certificate at pilgrim Baptist Grammar school PBGS ,Issele Uku in 1975.

He proceeded to Western Christian University Otta, Ogun state where he received a diploma and degree culminating in a Doctorate in divinity in 2000.

The new king of Idumuje-Ugboko had a successful working career spanning decades beginning from a Yugoslavia firm ,Emo engineering corporation with a Nigerian office in Lagos which pioneered rural electrification across the country as technical partners of the defunct Directorate of Food, Road and rural infrastructure DIFRRI.

He also worked at the Nigerian security and civil defense corps NSCD where he served as head of operations in Lagos and then Bauchi until his retirement in 2008.

He also distinguished himself as a community leader, having served as founding President of Idumuje-Ugboko development Union IUDU Ijaiye,Lagos branch.

He is married to Mrs Philomena Ekene Nwabuokei Nwoko ( nee Omezi) from Atuma quarters in Idumuje-Ugboko and they are blessed with 5 children ,3 boys and 2 girls.
