Gov. Okowa’s Proactive Actions To Halt The Spread Of Covid-19, Humane And Laudable – Dr Michael Nwoko

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, on Health Monitoring, Dr Michael Nwoko has applauded His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Delta State for his quick and proactive actions, taken so far to halt the spread of the deadly COVID-19 in the State.

Dr. Nwoko, who was reacting to the third broadcast of the Governor, yesterday 26th March, described the broadcast as electrifying, proactive and another humane step taken by the Governor to protect all residents of the State from the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.

Dr. Nwoko, who was speaking with his media assistants in his office shortly after the Governor’s broadcast, urged them to keep a low profile life, observe social distancing and sanitize their hands regularly using alcohol based sanitizers or wash their hands regularly with clean water and soap.
He also used the medium to urge all residents of the State to kindly comply with the Governor’s directives as key precautionary measures to halt the spread of the virus which has been reported in different parts of the Country, from getting to Delta State and to ensure we are able to deal with the situation, should there be an outbreak in the State.

Whilst acknowledging the fact that there is no outbreak of Covid 19 in the Delta State at the moment, the SSA stated that Governor Okowa’s third broadcast, clearly demonstrates the seriousness of his humane nature and his passionate concern about the safety and well-being of all residents of Delta State.
He added that the Governor’s administration efforts to prevent the disease from entering the State and curtail its spread, should there be any outbreak is further reemphasized by the broadcast.

His words read in parts, ‘the State broadcast delivered yesterday by His Excellency, was so electrifying. It clearly spelt out the best action necessary to ensuring the safety of all residents of the State following the the outbreak of COVID-19 in different parts of the Country.
In the light of this, I urge all residents of the State to kindly comply with the Governor’s directives in order to guarantee our safety following the outbreak of COVID-19 in different parts of the country.’ He emphasized.

Further more, Dr. Nwoko added, ‘I want to plead that all residents adhere strictly to the precautionary measures as directed by his Excellency, the Governor. Though, these measures may seem to be inconvenient to us, but very necessary to secure our lives against the horrible COVID-19 pandemic.’ He posited.

DR. Nwoko, also urged Deltans to continue to pray to Almighty God to arm the Governor with wisdom to lead the people in this challenging times.
His words, ‘fellow Deltans, let us keep praying to God to continue to arm the Governor with the wisdom and understanding required to lead us, especially as we navigate through this challenging times and by God’s grace, it shall be over soon.’ He concluded.
