Delta State Shines At Korean Ambassador Taekwondo Tourney.

Delta State has continued to maintain her premiership position in sports with a spectacular display of brilliant performance at the 10th Korean Ambassador Taekwondo Championship.

Delta state topped the medal table at the championship with a total of 5 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals to beat Kebbi and Kano State to second and third positions with 3 Gold, 3 Sliver, 3 Bronze medals and 3 Gold 1 Silver medals respectively.
Lagos State came 4th with 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze medals.

Uzoamaka Otuadimma of Delta State, was also declared the best female athletes of the tournament following her amazing victory at the female welterweight class final match.

THE FEDERATION TECHNICAL OFFICIALS WITH KOREAN ATHLETES WHO PERFORMED SOME BREADTH TAKING SKILLS AT OPENING CEREMONY.

The championship was held at Taslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on 17th through 19th 2019. It was sponsored by the embassy of South Korean as part of the Country’s contributions towards the development of the sport in Nigeria.

The annual event involved athletes from the 36 states of the federation, the FCT, the Army, Navy, Airforce and the paramilitary.
