DR. NWOKO CONGRATULATES DELTANS @27, SOLICITS SUPPORT FOR GOV. OKOWA’S REELECTION BID.

Deltans have been urged to support the re-election bid of the current administration in order to continiously consolidate its massive developmental strides across the state.
The special Assistant to the Governor (Special duties) on contributory Health Commission , Doctor Michael Nwoko made the call in an interview on a Delta TV Breakfast show, Golden Ride.
Doctor Nwoko who was speaking on Delta at 27 said the current leadership has prided itself in the continuation of the strides of previous administrations through effective completion and rehabilitation of Projects in the state.
He posited that Delta being a heterogeneous environment and also a miniature of Nigeria which was an integral part of the old Midwestern region (1963-1976) and part of defunct Bendel State(1976-1991) and became an autonomous State on the 27th of August,1991 created by the then Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida has enjoyed relative peace and thus remained one indivisible State despite its heterogeneous nature. He further stated that Delta State, at the point of creation, had twelve local government areas in August 1991 which was split to 19 local government areas on the 27th of September, 1991 and further increased to 25 local government areas in 1997 thereby ensuring a more participatory governance at the grassroot.
This, he said had inspired the government order to be in constant haste to deliver, thus championing the construction and rehabilitation of over Three hundred roads across the 3 Senatorial districts in the state thereby fostering both economic and ethnic stability.
The Special Assistant informed that we cannot write the history of Delta State without mentioning Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa whose political sojourn is as old as the State. This has lend credence to his in depth understanding of the State as well as its political dynamics and therefore channelling the instrument of governance to better the lots of the people.
Doctor Nwoko while congratulating the inhabitants of the State for sustainable peace and development since 1991, urged them to embrace the economic policies of the Okowa administration which promotes financial independence through strategic job creation as well ensuring affordable, accessible and quality health for all residents of the State through the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme in line with the SMART agenda of our amiable Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
In conclusion, Dr. Nwoko used the opportunity to crave the indulgence of all Deltans to support the reelection bid of the Governor in order to consolidate on uncommon dividend of democracy recorded since the inception this administration.
