DR MICHAEL NWOKO REJOICES WITH MUSLIMS AS THEY MARK THIS YEAR’S ELD-EL-FITR CELEBRATION.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Health Monitoring and a member of COVID-19 enforcement committee in charge of border health surveillance, Dr Michael Nwoko, has sent warm greetings to Muslims in the State and the Country at large as they mark this year’s Eld-El-Fitr celebration and enjoined them to celebrate in accordance with the exigency of the time.
Dr Nwoko stated this through a message of felicitation to the Muslim community in the State, on their celebration of this year’s Eld-Mubarak.
In the message released through his media aides, the ebullient SSA stated,
“I want to felicitate with my Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s El.d-Mubarak. As you mark this holy day of the Islamic calendar, I want to enjoin you to observe the celebration in accordance with the exigency of the time.
You are all aware of the rampaging and ravaging effects of the deadly coronavirus. The global pandemic is something that we have never seen before, therefore, we must listen to experts and adhere to preventive measures in order for us to be safe.
As you observe the rituals of the celebration, I want to advice that you maintain social distancing, put on your facemask, wash your hands with running water and ensure your worship place is kept in a proper hygienic condition.
Let us Pray for Allah to cleanse the State, the Country and the World of COVID-19, so we can return to our normal daily economic activities.
Once again I wish you all a warm Eld-El-Fitr celebration”‘ Dr Nwoko concluded.
