The meeting was the brainchild of a peace committee under the auspicies of Idumuje Ugboko development union IUDU ,but encouraged majorly by the women who turned out to help midwife peace in their ancestral home .

For Ned and his team ,it was a beautiful day.
They waited .They waited for about one hour fifty minutes.
Tension gradually enveloped the crowd.

HON PRINCE NED NWOKO, ACCOMPANIED BY HIS WIFE, REGINAL DANIEL NWOKO, WENT FOR A PEACE MEETING WITH PRINCE NONSO NWOKO.

Then an emissary emerged to announce that Nonso would not come out. The messenger directed that instead 5 people, should accompany Ned to have a first encounter with the host after which two of them would come out together to meet the people waiting in the palace ground.

They were led to where Nonso was sitted with at least 20 others including some members of the family and the women peace committee leader.

But in a dramatic twist, Ned stormed out of the inner abode of the palace with his team less than five minutes after they went in, amidst tight security.

A privileged source revealed that their host could not welcome them, compelling Ned to take exit.

ELDERS OF THE COMMUNITY LEFT IN SUN FOR HOURS.

According to the witness, Ned and his aides were ordered by Nonso to go into an enclave called UNO IZU, where a traditional priest was sighted performing fetish rituals. Ned declined and beat a retreat.

An account told by cronies of Nonso however said Ned was denied access because he besieged the inner chambers of the palace with some uninvited aides. A claim dismissed as totally false by an elderly source at the botched meeting .

The eye witness explained:

” The palace encounter was a sad scenario . Why did Nonso keep Ned and the huge crowd waiting for two hours if he truly wanted peace? He refused to come out and left the people in the scorching sun.
.He failed to admit that the meeting was scheduled for the open ogwa ( palace courtyard) not opaque UNO IZU. Nonso in shocking animosity asked Ned to leave the place where he was sitting even he was persuaded to go in and meet him there in the first place. What happened was unprovoked and unnecessary. Ned came prepared for peace. Nonso by his mindset would have nothing of such. How can a man seek crown and despise peace? ”
