FG Assures Ned Nwoko Foundation Of Cooperation

The Federal Government of Nigeria has assured the Ned Nwoko Foundation, the initiator and financial of “Project Let’s Eradicate Malaria In Nigeria,’ of necessary cooperation to end the scourge of the deadly parasite in the country.

The assurance was given on Friday 28 February, 2020, by Sen. (Dr) George Akume, the Honourable Minister of Special Duties and InterGovernmental Affairs, when he played host to the management team of the Project lead by the founder and CEO of Ned Nwoko Foundation, Hon Prince (Dr) Ned Munir Nwoko.

Hon Prince Ned Nwoko, while briefing the Hon Minister on the objective of the Project said, ‘the main aim of the Project is to eradicate the scourge of malaria in the entire African continent, with particular emphasis on Nigeria. The Project tends to achieve the goal through public enlightenment on proper environmental hygiene, waste management, sensitisation on methods of malaria control, fumigation and development of malaria vaccine..’

The rare African patriot also emphasized on his commitment to eradication of malaria in the continent, due to its ravaging lethal effects on children, pregnant women and adults in Africa and Nigeria in particular.

Prince Ned Nwoko further briefed the Honourable Minister that the Project is partnering major global health organizations and donor agencies in its determination to wipe out and eradication the scourge of malaria in Nigeria within the shortest possible time.

EXCHANGING PLEASANTRY AFTER THE MEETING

In his response, the Honourable Minister, Sen. George Akume, expressed total confidence in Ned Nwoko’s capacity and ability to lead a successful campaign to eradicate the scourge of the deadly parasite in Nigeria and thus rescue a large percentage of Nigerians from death traps of the endemic disease. He assured the Project team of his cooperation in achieving their lofty objectives.
