The globally renowned legal icon and front line contender for the 2019 Delta North Senatorial seat, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, Monday, extolled the sparkling qualities of Chief Sir. Dele Omenogor as a man of esteem honour, integrity and dignity.
Prince Ned Nwoko made the remark at Amai in Ndokwa west LGA while felicitating with Chief Omenogor, the Odogwu Adi Abuo 1 of Amai Kingdom as he marked his 60th birthday anniversary.

Speaking through Dr Michael Nwoko, SA (special duties), to Delta State Governor on Contributory Health Commission and Director, Organization & Mobilisation, Ned Nwoko campaign organization, Prince Ned Nwoko said, “I wish to congratulate you as you turn 60 today, Ndokwa people are very lucky to have a man of great candor like you. I know you as a man of high integrity, honour and dignity. As we all celebrate with you today, on this remarkable occasion of your 60th birthday anniversary. I want to join you, your family, friends and well wishers to thank God for His grace in our life and to pray for your good health and more of God’s grace in your life.”

“I cherish the partnership we share, it is a partnership anchored on a common goal, to give our people good life and develop our land for the benefit and survival of our people and our next generation.
“We cannot continue to remain silent and allow multinational oil and gas companies to pollute our environment and destroy our ecosystem. Their actions have led to low crop yields and complete annihilation of the floral, faunal and aquatic life in our ecosystem’.
“Allowing these practices to continue without putting a stop to it will amount to compromising our lives, the lives of our next generation and our environment’.
“As I have stated in my manifesto and on several forum, if elected Senator, I will put an end to gas flaring in Ndokwa land and any part of Delta North senatorial district’.

“I will take on the oil companies using the instrument of the National Assembly. I will ensure they apply the same standard which they are applying in their home countries. They cannot continue to practice what is not allowed in their countries here in Anioma land”, he said.
In conclusion, Prince Ned Nwoko said, “at the Senate, I will look at the existing laws and ensure that Ndokwa nation are adequately compensated for years of neglect and degradation of their environment by oil and gas companies”.

There is no doubt that Prince Ned Nwoko, the man who battled multinational lenders like the IMF, European Union, US and their clubs, the Paris and London Clubs to secured billions of dollars of wrongful loan deductions to Nigeria, will find the stoppage of gas flaring in Anioma land as a piece of cake.

Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko has the strength, the experience, the will and the legal muscle to Rescue Anioma land from misrepresentation and environmental degradation.
