The Lilly House, Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State, the exotic mansion of Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, had for the past four days (Friday 4th through Monday 7th Jan. 2019), played hosts to hundreds of PDP Focus Groups from across Delta State.
The Focus Groups who were in his house on his invitations, came, received his message and blessings and left for the task ahead with renewed vigour and strong zeal to go all out to the field to sensitize Deltans on why Governor Okowa should be reelected to complete his 8 years tenure in office.
The groups vowed to mobilize Deltans to come out in large numbers to cast their votes for PDP all the way in the February and March general elections.
Before addressing each of the groups, on each of the occasions, the Prince of philanthropy, in his usual characteristics ways of receiving guests to his house with humility, ensured the visitors were treated to uncommon warm hospitality.
The Focus Groups came to the man that rescue Nigeria from recession, to seek his solidarity and inspirational supports for their mission to embark on house to house sensitisation of the people of Delta State on why Governor Okowa deserves reelection.
They met the Star Prince of Anioma nation, received his message and went home better equipped with unstained conviction and stronger understanding of the need to reelect the man with the magic wand of transformation, Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to office, to give him enough time to completely give the state entirely different facelift.
In one of his addressed to the Groups, the Anioma born international legal luminary and Delta North political colossus, charged the youths to go to the field to sensitize the electorates to come out massively to cast their votes for Governor Okowa and all the PDP flagbearers.
His message, “I am very happy to receive you here today. I am happy because your visit is a reminder that we all have one thing in common, to work for the reelection of His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and all the PDP candidates. It also shows that you take the next elections very seriously.
As youths, this coming elections provide opportunity for you to take decisive actions to ensure that you elect good people into office. Good people and people with integrity who will help shape the future of our state and our country in the next four years”.
“Our Governor, His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is a good man and he is doing great jobs in Delta State. We must all give him our supports and votes to reelect him, to give him enough time to complete the good work his doing in our State”.
He further went on to add, “as Support Groups, there are some important things you must do. You must go to your Local Government Areas, your communities, your wards and units, talk to your parents, siblings, friends, school mates and associates, encourage them to come out to cast their votes for PDP, because, events in the country in the past three and half years, have shown that PDP is the only party that has the right political ideology for the peace and stability, economic revival, job creation and industrial advancement of this country”.
Concluding the message, he said, “events of the past years have taught us lessons never to entrust leadership to people who have little or know knowledge on how to organise and manage human and material resources. You must have this in the back of your mind and make sure you go out on election days to cast your votes for PDP. Not only that you vote for PDP and but also ensure that your votes are guided and protected. Do not be intimidated, do not allowed anybody to intimidate you.
Do not fall prey to lies and deception. You must avoid violence during the elections in order not to give our main opponent, the APC excuses to cancel elections in your wards. Cancelling elections and declaring elections inconclusive is now the party’s latest tactics to manipulate election results in their favour. Be vigilant and be watchful” he charged the youths.
Amongst the youth groups on the roll call during the visits are; Ned For Okowa, Delta North Solidarity Front, Ned Nwoko Canvassers For Okowa, Delta Patriotic Youths For Okowa, Delta North Progressive Alliance and so many others.
