Prince Ned Nwoko Shocked, Mourns The Demise Of A Construction Mogul, Chief Uche Okpuno
The foremost Nigerian philanthropists, Hon Prince (Dr) Ned Munir Nwoko, has expressed shock and rapt sadness over the demise of the Chairman and Managing Director of the giant Nigerian construction company ULO Consultant PLC, Chief Uche Luke Okpuno.
The Asaba born construction mogul was reported to have died at his Abuja home, Thursday, 26th February, 2020, at aged of 65.
In reacting to the shocking news, Prince Ned Nwoko through a statement released to his media aides said, ‘I received the news of the demise of Chief Uche Okpuno with rude shock and bitter sadness. Uche was with me few days ago. He showed no sign of ill health. The news of his death was surprising to me.’
‘Uche is not only a close associate and confidant, he is like a senior brother to me and his death is a great loss to his immediate family, to me personally, to Asaba community where he hails from, to Anioma nation, Delta State and Nigeria as a whole. He is a man with exceptional business ingenuity, who from the scratched, built one of the major indigenous construction company in Nigeria that had executed many legacy projects throughout the country.’ Hon Prince Ned Nwoko remarked.
In conclusion, the initiator and financier of ‘Project Let’s Eradicate Malaria In Africa,’ said, ‘I want to use this medium to once again convey my heartfelt condolences to his family, the Asagba of Asaba, the Asaba people and the Anioma nation, for the loss of this great illustrious and enterprising father, brother and son, may God give us the fortitude to bear this painful lost.’ Prince Ned Nwoko, stated.
