ANIOCHA NORTH ROYAL FATHERS INTERVENED TO BRING PEACE TO IDUMUJE UGBOKO.

The Traditional Rulers in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, have waded into the Idumuje Ugboko crises with a view to brokering peace in the community.
The peace moved was initiated by the Royal Fathers of the Local Government Area in order to ensure a lasting peace in the community.
Speaking after one of the series of the meetings held February 5, at Aniocha North Local Government Council Secretariat, Issele Uku, between the Royal Fathers and the parties involved in the crises, the Obi of Ezi Kingdom His Royal Majesty, Obi Mohayem JP, said, “We the Royal Fathers in Aniocha North Local Government Area, called this meeting to see how we can broker peace at Idumuje Ugboko.
“We cannot have somebody in the calibre of Prince Ned Nwoko and we have such crises in the community, so we invited him here to give us a proper briefing of what is going on there, which he has done and we are going to pursue the matter further to make sure there is a lasting peace in Idumuje Ugboko, Kingdom,” he concluded.
Also speaking to this reporter, His Royal Majesty, Obi Ofuokwuobi 111, JP, the Obi of Obior Kingdom said, “we are trying to make peace at Idumuje Ugboko, by interacting with the parties involved in the crises to hear their side of the matter.
“We do not need fracas in any kingdom. Let there be peace all over the places.
That is the purpose of this meeting.”
On the land angle of the matter, Obi Ofuokwuobi said, “What Prince Ned Nwoko wants to do with the land as we know is not personal. It is a project that will benefit everybody and it is for the good of the whole Anioma people.
“To have a university in Aniocha North Local Government Area is a big thing, so we decided to intervened into the crises in order to bring last peace in the Kingdom, because as Royal Fathers in the Local Government Area, we cannot keep mute and allow the crises in Idumuje Ugboko to linger on and scuttle the development of the community.
We have invited the two parties involved in the dispute, they have presented their own side of the story and we will look at both cases and ensue that peace is returned to the community.” He concluded.
