Hon. Prince Ned Munir Nwoko NMN, the front line contender for the Delta North Senate Seat..


Delta North citizens in a rare display of political awareness, have passed a vote of confidence on Governor Okowa’s administration and overwhelmingly pledged their total support for Ned Nwoko for Senate to represent the District at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly come 2019.
The endorsement was made in a meeting held at the Hall of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Mariam Babangida Way, Asaba, Tuesday.

While welcoming the groups to the meeting, after the opening prayer, the convener of the meeting Dr. Michael Nwoko, the SA to the Governor (Special Duties) on contributory Health Commission. expressed delight with the large turnout of groups to the meeting inspite of the short notice.
He stated that the purposes of the meeting were;
To meet Ned Nwoko footsoldiers at the grassroot,
To thank them for all their labours in projecting Ned Nwoko for Senate in their various communities.
To interact with them with a view of knowing the challenges they were experiencing on the field and
To encouraged them to continue with their good work adding that Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko is very much aware of all their efforts and as a cheerful giver, he will reward them bountifully.
He further used the occasion to revealed the slogan of the Ned Nwoko campaign, which is SALVAGE ANIOMA 2019, meaning total salvation for Anioma people, and also revealed the greetings as NED NWOKO FOR SENATE, response SAT 2019, or SAT 2019, NED NWOKO FOR SENATE.

In his opening speech, the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Jaunty Okwudi, the Onwa of Aniocha North and the Olikeze of Obior, also expressed joy at the large turnout of groups at the meeting and thanked the people for identifying with Ned Nwoko’s senatorial aspiration.
Continuing he said that Governor Okowa is doing very well in the face of the economic downturn in the country which posed serious challenges to his administration, he then called on the people to support his administration, and raised a motion for a vote of confidence on Governor Okowa’s administration and for his second term bid, to which the people overwhelming responded with Aye.
Continuing his speech, he reminded the people that Delta North had a rare opportunity to attract real transformation now that she produced the governor of the state, but stated that the governor alone cannot solve all the problems facing Anioma people adding that the Governor needed someone like Ned Nwoko, who has the connections, clout and the plans for Anioma people, to assist him to transformed the region.

He also said that Delta North people need a Senator who is accessible, who listens to people’s complaints, who understands the plights of the people, who freely help people in their needs and who know what should be done to help them to overcome their economic challenges.
Concluding his speech Hon. Okwudi told the people emphatically that Prince Ned Nwoko remains a founding member of PDP and that he will be contesting the Senate race under PDP, adding that by the new rule of the party, power has been given back to the people to elect those who will represent them in Government and that there will be a level playing field for all the aspirants vying for positions during the primaries, because the party wants the most popular aspirants to emerge so that they can win in the general election.
He added, “right now the Governor and our principal are both at Abuja, arranging for the PDP 2017 NATIONAL ELECTIVE CONVENTION, and very soon our ‘Oga’ will unveil his campaign organization.”
He then urged the people to go back to their various communities to preach Ned Nwoko for Senate 2019.

Also speaking at the occasion, Chief Felix Oweti, told the groups that what is important now is the party primary, he therefore urged them to go back home to tell their various political leaders that Ned Nwoko is their choice for Senate and further advised them to pass the same message to their wards party delegates to the Senatorial primary.

The gathering was overwhelming attended by different groups as the Hall was filled to the brim. More than 42 Focus groups drawn from across the three Federal constituency that comprises the Senatorial District were present and their leader took turn to pledged their total support for Ned Nwoko Senate come 2019.
